Welcome to the inaugural week in review, where we will take a personal look at the week past. Many of you know I work at 2 Guys Smoke Shop in New Hampshire, Blog here at The Cigar Authority, and am a co-host of the The Cigar Authority radio show. There is a lot going on, and people always ask what it is like to work in the cigar industry.
Last week started with the Camacho Torch It Up event at our Two Guys Smoke Shop Seabrook, NH location. On hand were two custom motorcycles. The first being the one made for BG Meyer, the other being the custom Camacho motorcycle which a chance to win was raffled off. This went to Wayne Wiliamson, a regular at the shop. The event was a lot of fun with me working the grill cooking for the participants of arm wrestling, cocktail mixing and a blind taste test. I don’t know about you but watch two women arm wrestle is very enjoyable. A few pictures below, but there are a lot more on the Facebook page
On Monday we received 20 boxes of Padron Family Reserve 50th, and in less than 3 hours, all 20 boxes were gone. Thankfully, I was able to get my hands on the natural which was reviewed on the website. The box pressed beauty celebrated the 50 years in business for the Padron family which opened up in Little Havana on September 8th in 1964.
Thursday, we took a road trip to Mickey Blake’s in Southington, CT where we broadcasted live from the premier cigar shop in Connecticut. On air we smoked a box pressed La Flor Dominicana made exclusively for the shop. In the second hour of the show we were joined by Omar de Frias where we smoked his box pressed stick, called The Boxer. Omar also informed us of a new blend for 2015.
