The measure by Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill that would exclude cigar shops from the 2008 Nebraska Clean Indoor Air Act has passed the General Affairs Committee by a vote of 7-0 today. The bill will now go before the full Nebraska Legislature where it will be debated and voted upon. On January 14, 2015 the Board of Health in the community of Watertown voted on a regulation regarding the sale of tobacco and the Minimum Legal Sales Age. The legal age will remain 19 until March 1st, 2016 when it will become 21. Also at the meeting the community voted to ban flavored tobacco.
