Crowned Heads Announces The Angel’s Anvil 2018 For TAA

For the 5th time in as many years Crowned Heads will be making an exclusive cigar for members of the Tobacconist Association of America. The cigar which features the initials of the TAA; The Angel’s Anvil will reach retailers in June.

The Angel’s Anvil 2018 will once again be made at Tabacalera La Alianza in the Dominican Republic. The factory which is owned by Ernesto Perez Carrillo has become the go to factory for Crowned Heads on Dominican made cigars.

Retailers will be able to order cigar when they meet on April 29th in La Romana, Dominican Republic for the 50th Anniversary of the TAA. As with earlier releases the cigar will measure 5.5 x 52 and the 2018 edition will feature an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers.

According to Jon Huber, “As this is our fifth year producing our TAA Exclusive cigar and we have a lot of ties to the Dominican Republic, we wanted to bring something unique and novel, while paying homage to the Dominican Republic. This will be our first time utilizing an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper on The Angel’s Anvil, and the colorway of the packaging was certainly inspired by the colors of the Dominican flag.

The cigars are expected to retail for $11.50 before any local taxes.
