In the city of Farmington, Missouri residents took to the polls where they voted in favor of a smoking ban bill 500-349.
The vote was held after the City Council 5-3 in July to let voters decide the issue which strips away the freedoms of a business owner.
The bill will ban smoking inside private businesses and within 15 feet of an entrance. The only places that will be exempt are cigar bars, hotel rooms, private clubs, nursing homes and residences.
