(Miami, Florida) April 26, 2016 – G. Gurkha Cigars’ hiring of Eddy Guerra was a strategic move to strengthen their positon in the luxury market.
A native of Miami, Florida Guerra brings with him an impressive resume, which includes the title of Marketing Director for the world renowned Nikki Beach brand, in Miami and Thailand. Guerra followed his passion and entered the cigar industry in 2010, by becoming partner in the Thailand-based ChindAsia Capital Partners, which grew to become the largest distributor of non-Cuban cigars, in Southeast Asia. Under the ChindAsia Capital Partners umbrella, Guerra helped created the Whisgars Cigar/Whiskey lounge concept, which catered to the high-end market. Under Guerra’s watch, Whisgars was an immediate success. Its growth was rapid, with the brand establishing six (6) locations, throughout Southeast Asia.
When asked about his position as Director of Marketing for Gurkha Cigars, Eddy Guerra said: ”I’m excited to bring a fresh outlook to the team. I feel that my background and love for tobacco will be beneficial to my new role in the company.”
