IPCPR Announces New Staff Additions

Washington, DC – December 6, 2016- The International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers (IPCPR) is pleased to announce that Daniel Trope will join the staff of IPCPR as Director, Federal Government Affairs effective December 12, 2016. Also, joining the IPCPR team is Christine Morgan, Associate Member &; Operations Manager who started on December 1, 2016.

Daniel Trope will lead IPCPR’s Federal advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and with the Executive Branch. IPCPR’s CEO, Mark Pursell, stated that, “We are thrilled to have a professional of Daniel’s caliber spearheading our industry’s government affairs work in DC. He brings ten years of Federal experience both on Capitol Hill as a Senate staffer and in the private sector representing clients across several industries including a multi-national materials manufacturer.” IPCPR’s Chair of Federal Government Affairs, John Anderson, added that, “After a thorough and rigorous candidate search process, we determined that Daniel’s energy, knowledge of the DC landscape and ability to communicate make him an ideal representative of our issues. I look forward to working with him at this critical time for our industry.

Christine Morgan officially joins the staff after serving in a temporary capacity at the last two IPCPR trade shows. She will assume the day to day responsibility of serving Associate Members, managing the trade show floor and working with IPCPR sponsors. “Christine comes to us with significant knowledge of our manufacturer partners and experience in a retail shop. She has been my right hand for two years so the learning curve is very short.”, notes Dawn Conger, Senior Director of Trade Show & Meetings. Scott Regina, IPCPR’s Chair of Membership & Trade Show added, “We have seen Christine’s commitment to customer service first hand and know she is great fit with the staff team.

These hires return the organization to full staffing as directed by the IPCPR Board of Directors. Pursell commented that, “Providing services to retailers and manufacturers is job one. Both Daniel and Christine will help us fulfill that promise.
