Earlier this afternoon it was announced that the IPCPR would be making an announcement at this year’s trade show in Las Vegas.
It was announced that on June 28th the organization would debut a new name for the Association.
According to a search of the United States Patent and Trademark Office that name change will be the “Premium Cigar Association”
According to the website the name was filed by the IPCPR on March 11th.
Today on June 19th a notice of publication was posted by the USPTO stating the new brand and logo will be published in their gazette on July 9th.
Details of the process can be found on the USPTO website at https://tsdr.uspto.gov/?fbclid=IwAR2KBR-cnuTt54bUHd9JvC-YKoDT_ElwiNZG1zNrZP9co3tWplkpis_3fq4#caseNumber=88334372&caseType=SERIAL_NO&searchType=documentSearch
It is rumoured that 2020 will see the trade show open to consumers and the name change fits that suggestion. Gone is the word retailers, meaning an all inclusive change is possible.
