On March 26th, at the Allendale Mayor and City Council meeting on March 26th the borough imposed new limitations on where tobacco products can be used.
In a move similar to that of a communist state, Allendale will only allow you to enjoy a cigar and other tobacco products within areas outlined by the local government.
While the designated areas have not yet been officially named anyone caught smoking tobacco products outside of them will be fined $100 for a first offense and up to $500 for a third offense. However, for anyone CONVICTED of smoking outside the said areas, they could also be sentenced to community service.
