Law | Princeton, NJ Passes 21 Law

Tonight the Princeton Board of Health is expected to pass passed an ordinance that will change the legal age to purchase tobacco in the college town. Currently in the state of NJ you need to be 19 years old but that will change in the town where it will become illegal to sell to anyone under the age of 21.

Princeton joins Bogota, Englewood, Sayreville and Teaneck in a small but growing list of where you need to be 21 to purchase tobacco in the state of New Jersey.

Princeton is home to 29,000 residents over 18.363 square miles.
