Released in 2026 as a new addition to the Micallef Color Series, the Micallef White is handmade at the Micallef Cigars factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The blend features a Connecticut wrapper over a Broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. The Micallef White Gordo features a sand to light caramel-colored wrapper with a golden hue. It feels substantial and well-packed, with visible veins, slight toothiness, and a light oily-to-matte sheen.
The opening third brings spice, toasted bread, earth, hay, and a touch of popcorn kernel. Sweet cream, honey, vanilla, and graham cracker balance the profile, while coffee, almond, cedar, and light chocolate add depth. Hints of citrus, floral notes, and salted soft pretzel keep the first third clean, flavorful, and surprisingly free of bitterness.
The second third shifts toward espresso, marshmallow, and graham cracker as the early spice settles. Sweet cedar, honey, cream, almond, and vanilla remain prominent, joined by cinnamon, lemon, and building black pepper. Cocoa, oak, salted peanuts, and gentle baking spice add complexity while the creamy character stays intact.
Toasted bread returns in the final third with more wood, almond, coffee, and cracked black pepper. A nutty creaminess, light cedar, lingering sweetness, and delicate spice carry through the finish without the cigar becoming overly bold.
The Micallef White Gordo is a balanced, approachable cigar with a creamy, nutty, sweet, and woody profile that develops subtly throughout the smoke. It delivers more flavor than expected from a larger-ring Connecticut cigar, with excellent construction, a smooth draw, and very little bitterness. Easygoing and flavorful, it fits well as an everyday cigar with coffee or as a relaxed after-dinner smoke.
