As has become tradition the last few years a group of manufacturers, retailers IPCPR and Cigar Rights get together in Washington DC. The purpose of the trip is to walk the halls of the US Capitol and talk to various senators and members of the house and help get the message across about premium cigars.
Each week our website is filled with news about proposed smoking bans, increases in OTP taxes and the general loss of freedom to enjoy a premium cigar. While some people have complained about all the bad news, it has been mostly well received by those who like to be kept in the loop as to what is going on.
We preach on the weekly radio show that we need to get motivated and get involved and as he has the last few years our own David Garofalo is there in a group with Rocky Patel telling them to leave our cigars alone. While his primary representation is as owner of Two Guys Smoke Shop he is also there as a member of The Cigar Authority and we will have details of his trip this weekend on The Cigar Authority at 12 noon, Saturday.
