Law: Millburn Township, NJ Smoking Ban

Tuesday night, August 20th the Millburn Township, NJ Committee worked on an ordinance that will ban smoking in and near municipal buildings, local parks and recreation areas. The ordinance was suggested earlier this summer by the Environmental Commission. Millburn Township would join nine other Essex County municipalities that have passed similar ordinances. On September 15th, 2014 the amendments passed by the Pittsfield, MA Board of Health go into effect. The regulations called the Environmental Tobacco Smoke and the Sale of Tobacco and Nicotine Deliver Products takes this things to a whole new level. Yet another municipality is going smoke free and this time it is n Waxahachie, TX which is a suburb in Dallas. The city council voted on Monday to pass the new ordinance 4-1.
