Law: Kent County, DE Park Smoking Ban

Law: Arlington, WA Park Smoking Ban

The city of Arlington, WA moved one step closer to becoming smoke free on the 11th of August as city staff presented a proposed law to ban tobacco from city parks. The law which has been discussed since 2006, but was not formally introduced until this week will allow police to detain those who are suspected of crimes. News: Robert Wright Leaving CLE, Takes Pura Soul

Robert Wright, brand owned of Pura Soul who has been with Christian Eiroa for a number of years has opted to leave CLE. Back in July, 2014 we showed the new look Pura Soul and it appears these cigars will be available via Robert Wright himself who is venturing off on his own. Robert Wright and Christian Eiroa remain close and the split has been amicable.

Law: Alberta, Canada Looking to Ban Flavored Tobacco

In November of 2013, the provincial government of Alberta passed Bill 206 which would ban the sale of flavored tobacco. Bill 206 has sat in limbo as the cabinet has not yet proclaimed it. There is a push to pass the law underway based on flavored tobacco increasing the chances of someone beginning to smoke at an earlier age. LAW: University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point Tobacco Free

Beginning on August 25th, the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point will join the list of over 700 colleges across the United States and become tobacco-free on August 25th. The policy includes parking lots and sidewalks as well as dormitories. LAW: SUNY Oswego to Go Smoke Free January 1st, 2015

The city of Branson, MO is looking to go smoke free, and a proposed ordinance will prohibit smoking in all public places as well as enclosed places of employment.
