Is President Trump Going to be good for Cigar Smokers…. it looks that way!
The Trump Administration Transition would be calling for a “temporary moratorium on all new regulations.” Stay tuned for possible good news. Here are just some of the reasons it looks that way… see if you agree.
Vice President-Elect Mike Pence is a past co-sponsor of the Premium Cigar Exemption legislation, when he served in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Georgia Congressman Tom Price has been nominated for Secretary of Health & Human Services, and he too, has been a co-sponsor of the exemption legislation.
Rudy Giuliani is a cigar fan and will hopefully sit somewhere in the cabinet and might be our biggest hope.
Key allies in Congress are also engaged and involved in the transition process, and are assisting with exemption messaging to the new Administration.
We even learned that Philip Morris is engaging in the discussion on “whether a new FDA chief would be more receptive to changing the February 15, 2007 predicate date for newly deemed tobacco products,”
There is already Hope & Change… but as cigar smokers we are hoping for more.
