News | 4 Members of FDA Panel Leave After Court Ruling

According to a report from the Associated Press, four members of the FDA’s tobacco advisory panel, including the chair have left following a federal court ruling that they had conflicts of interest. Members of the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee went through a screening process after the court ruling. Law | Ghana Bans Public Smoking

The Food and Drug Authority (FDA) of Ghana will begin enforcing the ban on public smoking. According to the Agency it will begin to enforce the Public Health Act 2002, Act 851 (6). According to Regulatory Office Daniel NTI if a person is caught smoking in public it will carry a fine of 750 unit and up to 3 years in jail. Law | FDA Raises Fines For Tobacco Sales

The amount you will have to pay for illegally selling an FDA-regulated tobacco products just went up 10%. The 6th fine in a 48 month period will cost you $11,000 which its an extra $1000.
