Illinois Retailers Now Need License To Sell Tobacco

The sale of tobacco in Illinois is illegal unless you have a license from the state. The new law requires all retailers selling any tobacco product to obtain a license from the state. The cost of which is $75.00. According to the state of Illinois, most of the fees collected will be used go after the sale of contraband tobacco. It also gives the state a way to punish those who sell to underage smokers.

Manhattan Beach, CA Looking to Add More Smoking Laws

Shipping Cigars Via Postal Service Could End

Just prior to the IPCPR trade show in New Orleans a bill was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives that would bring an end to cigars shipped via the United States Postal Service and would add various other requirements to other methods of shipping. Law | Smoking Banned At Some Presque Isle Beaches

A new program from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will ban smoking on some of the beaches at Presque Isle State Park. The new regulations are part of the Clean Air Beach Program and starting May 1 it will be illegal to smoker on Barracks Beach and Beach 11. The ban includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes and e-cigarettes. Presque Isle is on Lake Erie and encompasses 3,112.10 acres
