Law | Upper Arlington, OH Looking To Raise Tobacco Age

Earlier this week a city council member of Upper Arlington along with two Ohio State University Professors asked the city to raise the purchase age of tobacco from 18 to 21.

The council member Kip Greenwell feels it would help reduce smoking in the community and he was backed by Micah Berman and Dr. Rob Crane of Ohio State University.

The City Council is expected to consider the legislation to change the legal age to purchase tobacco at a future meeting.

Upper Arlington, Ohio is home to 34,000 residents over 9.869 square miles and was founded in 1917.
