Two Guys Smoke Shop & The Cigar Authority
Announce The Cigar of the Year

February 6, 2015 – For the past 24 years Two Guys Smoke Shop has announced the Cigar of the Year. In keeping with tradition the announcement of that cigar has come on the Saturday before the Super Bowl.

The contenders for Cigar of the Year were released in November and the competition was fierce. Consumers who purchased the pack had a vote in the process as did all the employees of Two Guys Smoke Shop, the originator of this great tradition.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the winner; Recluse Amadeus Habano Reserve.

All Recluse cigars go through 8 fermentation cycles over the course of 2 full years and are rolled Entubar, the old Cuban way. The result is a balanced smoke, full of flavor with a perfect draw.

These box pressed beauties feature a gorgeous grade A Ecuador Habano wrapper over a San Andres binder from Mexico with fillers from the Dominican Republic and Pennsylvania resulting in a rich medium bodied cigar that delivers every time.

According to David Garofalo owner of Two Guys Smoke Shop, “The Recluse Amadeus Habano Reserve is rolled at Leyendas Cubanas in the Dominican Republic and it is an honor to award Recluse this prestigious award. Over the course of the year not only did we reach for the Recluse Amadeus Habano Reserve time and time again; but so did our customers.”

Scott Weeks, one of the founders of Recluse added, “We knew we had a great cigar but we were up against the establishment candidates and we were hopeful, however, we were not expecting to win against the other more well-known brands. This is exciting and humbling to have our work recognized in this way.”

The cigar of the year is available in three sizes Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6.25 x 50) and Tarantula (6 x 60).
