We’ve had numerous requests to recap the weekly show which can be heard live via the website by clicking PUSH TO WATCH LIVE on the upper right hand corner.

  • The first cigar we smoked was a Roberto Duran Rio Tao from the premium line.
  • The Classic Cigars 3-way was won this week by Mr. Jonathan.
  • We interviewed Jack Torano of Roberto Duran Cigars and we found out that the Roberto P. Duran Premium line will be rebranded as Roberto P. Duran Signature. We also found out that there will be a press release in the coming days that the company moving forward will be known as Duran Cigars. Lastly, at IPCPR there are expected to be various line extensions.
  • In the second hour, we smoked the Azan Burgundy.
  • Miguel Schoedel the director of sales for Duran Cigars joined us to discuss the Ten Commandments of Cigar Shops that he penned years ago.
  • Last weeks question of the week, asked how many of you bring cigars for others when you go to a family or friendly outing. 76% of you said you bring cigars, though of that number, 35% of you bring dog rockets for them.
  • Some of the bad news was a Beach Smoking Ban in Nantucket, Seattle Washington banning park smoking, Newport Rhode Island banning smoking at beaches, and we discussed the FDA Enforcement Policy.
  • The Good News saw the official announcement of Cuba being removed from the Terrorism Black List bringing the end of the Embargo one step closer.
