Toscano Cigars shows new release at Blending Seminar

(Rome, Italy). Manifatture Sigaro Toscano S.p.A. confirms its attendance at PCA23 Convention & International Trade Show, with a long list of important appointments and hosting of special guests.

During the PCA Trade show, attendees can admire the unique production of Toscano cigars by witnessing  the skilled hands of one of the Italian cigar rollers, Maura Paoli who made the trip directly from Toscano’s factory in Lucca, Tuscany.

Additionally, attendees will have a chance to get a direct understanding of Toscano tobacco via the company’s  Blending Seminar, “The World of Fire Cured Tobacco,” that will take place on July 7th at 1:00 p.m. in Hall C.

The seminar will be held by Fritz Bossert, President of Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Danilo Finizio, Master Blender of Manifatture Sigaro Toscano and Michael Cappellini, United States Brand Ambassador of Manifatture Sigaro Toscano.

The main purpose of this seminar is to showcase the world of fire cured tobacco, the process, the people and the unique taste of the Kentucky seed tobacco that is used in every Toscano cigar.

Manifatture Sigaro Toscano strongly believes that quality starts from the crops  and the fire curing of Kentucky is the aspect that most differentiates Kentucky from other varieties.  Many transformations occur during this process, and these transformations strongly affect the final product. Toscano uses a process called “direct fire” because the leaves are directly affected by the smoke that comes from the fires lit inside the treatment rooms; a closed space known as the ‘smoking barn ‘. This traditional process makes Kentucky seed fire cured a unique tobacco full of flavors and aromas, and guarantees good preservation.

During the seminar, the speakers will discuss the production of Kentucky seed tobacco in Italy and in the US, underlining the hard work behind it and the differentiation in terms of taste and aroma of a cigar made with Kentucky seed Tobacco.  The first 300 attendees will receive an exclusive Toscano swag bag.

Manifatture Sigaro Toscano has also organized an Aperitivo Italiano that will take place July 9th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the PCA Happy Hour Cigar Lounge. During the Aperitivo, Toscano will be showcasing their new release :  Toscano Master Aged Series 4.

The Toscano Master Aged Series 4 is composed of a dark and homogeneous wrapper of Italian Kentucky seed tobacco which, thanks to an innovative fermentation process, gives body to the smoke without being overly aggressive to the palate. After the fire-cure process, the wrapper is stored in special rooms that are conditioned at very high and constant humidity and temperatures for about ten days. This process guarantees the start of micro fermentation that is fully expressed and understood from the first puff. The blend of the filler is composed of 100% fire-cured Kentucky seed tobacco, harvested in Valtiberina, Tuscany and stateside in Kentucky and Tennessee.

Toscano Master Aged is the Premium range of Toscano cigars created from an idea of the Toscano Master Blender with a unique production process thanks to an extra maturation period, led by a specialized ‘affinatore’ (refiner).

Toscano Master Aged cigars are now produced in four different varieties consisting of Italian and American tobacco blended in different wrapper and filler combinations, providing each cigar with a unique taste and smoking experience.
