Out of my stockpile of cigar lighters, there’s always one that I keep within arms reach. The Vertigo Cyclone 2 by Lotus is a workhorse that just won’t quit. It’s a dependable tool that’s great for all day use. It has a few nice features that make this lighter something special.
I’ve had this torch for about 6 months now, and I’ve purchased a few more as gifts for my friends since then. It’s been through hell and back and still fires on the first try every time. Now, I’ve spent big bucks on a lighter before, but it mostly stays at home due to my fear of breaking or losing it. But as for the Cyclone 2, it’s built tough to withstand daily abuse and priced in the “not a big deal” range in case it gets misplaced. Or pocketed by a friend. Everyone knows “that guy”.
This lighter features a triple jet design along side a huge fuel tank that holds more than enough butane for all day use. The jets on this torch are in the shape of a triangle, making the flames converge together. It’s great for sparking up any size cigar, but does a particularly good job on those bigger ring gauge smokes. You can change the size of the jets with the adjustment wheel at the bottom to go from a small and precise flame to a tall and scorching one.
The Vertigo Cyclone 2 is a lighter everyone should have in their arsenal. It will stand up to abuse and continue to perform as time goes on. It has a distinctive grenade-like styling to it that sits comfortably in your hands. Not only that, but it comes in 4 different colors including brown, clear, charcoal and red. And for under $20, it’s an excellent value for the price.
