Aganorsa Supreme Leaf International Robusto Cigar Review

Earlier this year, Aganorsa Leaf brought Supreme Leaf International to the U.S. market for a special one-time offering. Previously available only through select retailers outside the United States, the Supreme Leaf International Robusto features a blend crafted entirely from Nicaraguan tobaccos and finished with a Corojo 99 wrapper. Only 1,000 boxes of each size were allocated to the American market.

The Supreme Leaf International Robusto features a rich, milk chocolate-brown wrapper with a slightly rustic appearance and a subtle oily sheen. Minimal visible veins, tight seams, and a firmly packed body reflect solid construction.

The cigar opens with a punch of pepper, wood, and earthy notes, complemented by leather and a subtle sweetness. Toasted rye, roasted peanuts, and hints of cayenne and white pepper create a distinctly savory profile. Cinnamon, smoked paprika, and touches of citrus and dried fruit add complexity, while faint chocolate and coffee notes emerge alongside a rich, nutty aroma.

The pepper softens as the cigar develops a deeper savory character, introducing grilled meat, toasted nuts, oak, and leather. Cinnamon remains present, while chocolate and coffee become more pronounced alongside a subtle bread-like sweetness. Cedar, mild baking spice, and a touch of licorice round out the profile, with earthy undertones and a lingering umami quality.

Wood remains dominant as the cigar transitions into bolder notes of leather, earth, and charred oak. The earlier baking spices fade, giving way to a musty earthiness accompanied by hay, tea, and subtle herbal notes. Pepper continues to mellow, while a touch of lingering sweetness balances the increasingly dry, woody finish.

The Aganorsa Supreme Leaf International Robusto delivers a flavorful, well-balanced smoking experience with a distinctive savory profile and plenty of transitions. An initially bold opening gradually mellows, allowing the cigar’s complexity to shine. Outstanding construction, an excellent draw, a consistent burn, and a firm ash complement the experience, with smoke production increasing as the cigar progresses. An approachable yet richly layered cigar that impressed the STARS reviewers with its flavor and performance.
