Woodstock, IL Bans Park Square Smoking *Update*

The City Council of Woodstock, Illinois will vote on an ordinance today that would ban cigars, cigarettes, pipes and e-cigarettes  from Woodstock’s Park in the Square. Canada Proposes Plain Tobacco Packaging

On Monday, Justin Trudeau the leader of the Liberal Party in Canada as well as the son of former Prime Minister Margaret Trudeau proposed the introduction of Plain Tobacco Packaging. Oviedo, FL City Passes Public Smoking Ban

Tonight, October 5th the City Council of Oviedo, Florida which is located Northeast of Orlando will vote on a measure that would ban smoking in public areas such as city parks. Violators of the measure could face fines up to $50 and the meeting is set for 6:30pm tonight. Update: Oviedo leaders pass a measure to ban smoking in public parks and city-owned property.

3 More Towns In Massachusetts Aim To Raise Tobacco Age

In Massachusetts, Lee, Lenox and Stockbridge fall under the Tri-Town Board of Health and on October 19th the Board is expected to vote on raising the tobacco age to 21 joining 74 other towns and municipalities in the state.
