For fans of Tatuaje it is Christmas in May as their 2019 TAA Release is out now. Being a fan of the yearly release I couldn’t wait so I grabbed one right out of my box, right […]

In April 2019, Aladino released the Connecticut and an additional size of the Aladino Corojo Reserva. Like the Robusto, the Toro is limited to a certain monthly production. The cigar was released early to a handful of retailers such as 2GuysCigars.com and is slated for a full release at the 2019 IPCPR. It’s a cigar we were eager to light up and we share with you if it met expectations. Cigar Review: Aladino Corojo Reserva Wrapper: Honduras […]
Since the initial release of Aladino, Julio and Justo Eiroa have produced cigars that’s that have been consistently among our favorites. They follow up the success of Aladino, Aladino Maduro, and Aladino Corojo Reserva with the Aladino Connecticut. If you look on social media would never know it, but mild cigars outsell other cigars significantly and as a result the market place for a Connecticut is crowded. The question is can a company known for […]
The Signature Selection has been aged for 7 years and features the rare medio tiempo leaf in the filler. What is medio tiempo? It is the small leaf, rarely seen at the top of the tobacco plant that is known for its richness and strength as it receives more sunlight than any other part of the plant. The 2019 edition of the cigar landed at retailers in mid-April and having loved the 2018 edition so much […]

During the second hour of The Cigar Authority episode titled, “What is the TAA?” we smoked a cigar called NPD-52S. The only person that knew what it was when we started was David Garofalo. By the end of the show both Ed Sullivan and Barry Stein figured out what the cigar was. We also found out what NPD-52S stood for thanks to a representative for the company who informed us it was “New Product Distribution”. […]
One of the most sought after Davidoff cigars of the past has been the Robusto Real Especiales 7. The cigar has finally made its return to Davidoff retailers around the world. When the cigar was launched back in 2004 some said using more than four filler leaves makes rolling cigars with consistent draws more challenging. Davidoff pushed the norms and blended this cigar with 5 filler tobaccos. Once you add the binder and wrapper the grows […]
The AVO LE 19 is the seventh installment of the Improvisation Series. According to Davidoff, Avo Uvezian broke conventions as the first cigar manufacturer to produce an annual Limited Edition. In honor of his legacy they decided to “break the mold” with this release. As a result the cigars are packaged in boxes inspired by the box pressed cigar molds used to shape them. The cigar is limited to just 2,500 boxes in the US Market and is blended by Master Blender Eladio Diaz and Henke Kelner.
With the 2019 TAA coming to a close today, March 21, 2019 we figured we would take a look back at the 2018 of the TAA Exclusive from La Flor Dominicana. Cigar Review: LFD TAA 50th Golden “Oro” Anniversary Wrapper: Nicaraguan Sun Grown Habano Binder: Dominican Republic Filler: Dominican Republic (Including Criollo ’99 […]
