Ed Sullivan’s Picks:

If you need to buy gifts for a cigar smoker who’s also a road warrior, I have some ideas for you. Some jobs entail lots of driving in the car or you may need to drive a long way for the Christmas gathering. Either way, these items will insure that you are ready and the miles will pass much more pleasantly.

First, everyone should have a good quality lighter and cutter in their car. The ones I use are excellent quality at reasonable prices. You can’t go wrong with the Vertigo Cyclone. The one in my car is over 5 years old and still works great: https://www.2guyscigars.com/vertigo-cyclone-894236010236/

Don’t skimp on the cutter. It can be tempting to buy a cheap one, but they are virtually disposable. The cutter in my car has cut thousands of cigars and still works as well as it did when it was new. The serrated edge on the Lotus Jaws cutter gives you a nice clean cut every time: https://www.2guyscigars.com/lotus-jaws-glossy-black-894236014241/

gift guideYou don’t want to make a mess of the car interior with cigar ash. A good car ashtray is a must have accessory. The Vertigo Road Trip ashtray is perfectly designed to fit in a cup holder and when you’re done enjoying your cigar, you simply close the lid and keep the stale smell of the finished cigar from permeating your vehicle.

Now that you’re all set up to enjoy a cigar, I would recommend the Bandolero Sagaces as a perfect cigar to enjoy in the car. The Bandolero is a top notch cigar that comes in at a very attractive price. Every time I smoke one, I marvel at the quality and taste of this cigar at the pice point it sells for. Although this cigar is not inexpensive, it smokes like a much more expensive cigar. https://www.2guyscigars.com/bandolero-sagaces-022252/

Mr. Jonathan’s Picks:

The gift giving season for me is about buying a cigar for someone that they may not purchase for themselves. Depending on the amount of time a friend might have available to smoke I look no further than the Alfonso gift packs. Its only 3 cigars so it doesn’t blow my entire budget for the season and even the biggest size falls in line with a standard Yankee swap gift and believe me the cigars get fought over by the guys in my family. https://www.2guyscigars.com/alfonso-extra-anejo-2-3-pk-141727/

There are lots of lighters on the market but for the money its tough to beat the 2 for $20 deal on the cyclone. Its no frills, is a workhorse, and the tank never seems to run out (because its a big ass tank!). The time to spend the money is on your cutter. The Colibri SV cutter features 2 blades that close simultaneously which locks the cap inside whether you are using the deep v side or the straight side. https://www.2guyscigars.com/colibri-sv-cut-black-black-081287042754/

One final accessory that is overlooked at the holiday season is the cigar ashtray. Lotus has a new one this year that is made of silicone. It’s 100% unbreakable, will not burn when a hot ash hits the bottom, and is completely weather proof. Not bad for $20! It should be an automatic add on for anyone buying a gift for the cigar smoker in their life. https://www.2guyscigars.com/lotus-armstrong-ashtray-black-840339206588/

Dave’s Picks:

If I give a gift of a box of cigars for Christmas (or for just about any reason) It must be Garofalo La Famiglia as it uses my name. I need you to know that I did not name that cigar, it was Nick Perdomo who showed up to my office with a box of
cigars as a gift for my 50
th Birthday, it was Garofalo. That was 13 years ago and the brand is going strong. As for the cigar, Perdomo doesn’t make mild cigars but Garofalo La Familia is a notch or two lighter than Perdomo as Nick knows I like milder. You would expect my choice to be the Connecticut version (which is the Gold band), but I personally prefer the Sun-Grown on Garofalo. https://www.2guyscigars.com/garofalo-la-famiglia/

If you’re in the serious gift giving mood, take a look at Atabey, my favorite, but they are going to cost you.  Maybe you’ll get lucky and find a 3-pack of tubed Atabey available, if not you can always buy by the single at 2GuysCigars.com

For a cigar lighter or cigar cutter, I have the perfect gift. Vertigo Sickle is just $29.99 and it does both. Unlike some lighters that include a bullet cutter that I personally don’t like, the Vertigo Sickle has a built-in guillotine cigar cutter that really works well.  The built-in lighter has a double jet that the flames are angled toward each other.  I like it, and this lighter looks and works like a combo lighter that sells for 4x this cost.
