News: Las Cumbres Second Blend

Recently Jose Blanco formerly of La Aurora and Joya de Nicaragua posted that he was beginning work on a second blend. On his instagram account he began posting pictures of the process. In one picture he is shown examining San Andreas Mexican wrapper and in another smoking binder and filler only.

Jose Blanco has entered back into the market with his own company Las Cumbres. His freshman release “Senorial” was well received at the 2014 IPCPR and comes in 5 sizes and features a Ecuador Habano wrapper. The sizes are the traditional ones consisting of Corona Gorda No.5 (5 1/2 X 46); Paco Robusto (5 1/4 X 52); Toro Bravo (6 X 54); Le Grand (6 X 60) and Belicoso No.2 (6 1/4 X 52).

While using a San Andreas as the wrapper isn’t guarantee at this point, it is an interesting insight at the direction Jose Blanco might be taking.
