At the 2014 IPCPR in Las Vegas, the Padron family unveiled a limited edition humidor designed by Nelson Alfonso who has designed Behike as well as Atabey, Byron and Bandolero stateside via Selected Tobacco.
The original humidor which saw a price increase just before shipping was packaged with 50 numbered cigars and gave the owner the ability to refill the cigars at selected times, however the cigars would not be shipped to the consumer directly, but to the store in which the humidor was purchased.
This week, the company sent out the first of those emails giving the owners a chance to refill the cigars. According to the email, the customer was sent to a dedicated page where they could either order refill No. 1 or decline it. The decision has to be committed to by October 23rd.
Those who declined would have an opportunity in the future to order Refill No. 2; but they would be forfeiting the chance at the first refill.
If accepted, the customer was given the choice of 50 Maduro, 50 Natural or a 25/25 split. Once the order is placed, the tobacconist that sold the unit is notified of the pending order.
The time frame for the cigars to arrive was not available.
