Padron Soberano Tubo 1964 Anniversary Series Cigar Review

In 2016 at the InterTabac trade show in Dortmund, Germany Padron showcased two new sizes in the 1964 Anniversary line. Those sizes named Soberano and Presidente were available in the usual Natural or Maduro wrapper. However, it wasn’t the new sizes that caught everyone’s eye, it was the aluminum tubes that the cigars were packaged in. Today we review the Soberano which translates to Sovereign. It’s not the first time a cigar came in a […]

It was about this time two years ago we took a ride to the cigar fields of Connecticut. During the ride David Garofalo handed out cigars for the trip, something he can’t do anymore due to the FDA. I remember looking at it and having no idea what it was, but I smoked it and both Chuck Morrison and I were in agreement, that it was a damn good cigar. Studio 21 is best described […]

Earlier today the United States Senate confirmed Dr. Scott Gottlieb as the next Commissioner of the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). IPCPR applauds the Senate’s decision to put thoughtful and experienced leadership at the head of an organization as critical as the FDA. Dr. Gottlieb’s confirmation puts a reform minded physician with experience in both the public and private sectors in charge of a regulatory body that has too often failed in its mission to […]

Diamond Crown #4 Maduro Cigar Review

This past weekend was the best The Cigar Authority episode to date in my opinion. What made it so great? We were drinking, which is always worthy of a few laughs. Tatuaje Skinny Monsters The Frank Lancero Burn

Tatuaje Skinny Monsters The Frank Lancero Cigar Review

Tatuaje Monsters are highly collectible when released every October and the debate is long as to which was the best blend. For me, that was the first ever release Monster, The Frank. It’s something I wish I still had in my humidor, but I won’t pay the rediculous black market price for them. I’ve seen them sell for over $1,000 a box. While different in terms of vitola, I am ecstatic that the cigars are […]
