News | Nebraska High Court Rules Against Cigar Bars

In a ruling that could have ramifications across the United States the Nebraska Supreme Court has denied Cigar Bars & Cigar Lounges to continue to allow smoking in their establishments. The court denied the states motion to reconsider an August 29th ruling that threw out the cigar bar and tobacco shop exemptions to the statewide smoking ban. Nebraska is home to 1.8 million people over 77,354 square miles and was established in 1867.

Law | Fargo, ND Expands Smoking Ban

The Park Board in Fargo, North Dakota has approved expanding the existing smoking ban on park district properties. There are now a total of 16 areas where smoking is prohibited and a handful where smoking is allowed most of the time. The Clover Town Council approved on Monday November 10, 2015 a measure that OKs fines for use of tobacco products at Clover parks. The new measure would charge fines up to $25.
