In an effort to reduce smoking, the Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten) has proposed that smoking should be banned at bus stops, outdoor restaurants, entries to public buildings and pavement cafes. The Public Health Agency’s suggestions are being handed over to Sweden’s government for consideration today. Last year, lung cancer groups made headlines in the country when they proposed that Sweden should have a total smoking ban by 2025. Sweden is home to 9.5 […]
In the small town of Gloucester city, along the Delaware river within state of New Jersey you can’t light up a cigar unless you are sitting inside your home. You can thank the local government for taking away your freedom to enjoy a legal product. The new law which went into effect today makes it allege to smoke any form of tobacco in parks, city streets, sidewalks, your front porch, the stoop and the steps. […]
Today’s review completes the trifecta of Selected Tobacco. Our first review was the Atabey (100 Rated) and the second review was Byron (98 Rated). In retrospect, I might flip those scores, as the fuller bodied Byron calls to me more often. Before I began working at Two Guys Smoke Shop, I never heard of these cigar, but they are available in selected retailers around the country. While most have not heard of Selected Tobacco, they […]
One would think that the primary subject at the world conference of the World Health Organization (WHO) would be Ebola. The disease has begun to jump borders and the potential for a world-wide epidemic is there. However, the organization has decided to set its sights on the tobacco industry The WHO is holding its meetings in Russia, which has been boycotted by the United States due to their support of the separatists in Ukraine. One […]
For the last 7 years cigar smokers have gotten to feel like kids again with the annual Halloween release of the Monster Series from Pete Johnson. This year it is part one of a two part collection with the Jekyll, and in 2015 it with be the Hyde. This past weekend I got to smoke both on The Cigar Authority where we had Pete Johnson as a guest. At night, he headed over to Two […]
Oh Canada, can’t you just leave tobacco alone. In 2009 the federal government banned tiny flavored cigarillos because they deemed them to be marketed to children, eh. On Friday, Health Canada gave regulatory notice that it plans to put a stop to the way manufacturers have circumvented the ban. The law originally banned flavored tobacco on cigarillos that weighted less than 1.4 grams. Now, they are pushing for the ban to be on cigars heavier […]
Pete Johnson of Tatuaje Cigars was in studio with us where he discusses the Monster Series amongst other things such as a new La Verite coming and a possible regular release of the Verocu. We also have Debonaire Chuck Morrison, Old Fart Freddy, Inside the Asylum and all the craziness that is The Cigar Authority.
Back in 2009, I had my first Davidoff Colorado Claro based on a suggestion from Jerry Cruz over at StogieReview.com. After I smoked the cigar it was the third highest rated cigar that I ever smoked, I called it the definition of “The Good Life” a homage to then Davidoff manager Michael Herklots’ blog. Since 2009 the cigar has seen a yearly release, and 2guyscigars.com just received the 2014 edition so being I am back […]
Last night while watching the Boston Bruins at my local watering hole, some of my friends challenged me to review a Parodi. Without really thinking things through, I accepted the challenge. I got to thinking, wondering how many people would review a Parodi and I thought to myself not many. At the end of the day if we can’t poke fun at ourselves, then we take the cigar review way to serious. What we do […]
