Rojas Cinco De Mayo

Rojas Cinco De Mayo 2025 Cigar Review

The Rojas Street Tacos Cinco De Mayo 2025 is handcrafted at the Rojas Cigar Factory in Nicaragua, this 6 x 54 toro features an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder with Nicaraguan and Connecticut Broadleaf fillers.

The cigar carries a dark chocolate fudgy brown appearance with visible veins, slight toothiness, and a mostly smooth texture. The unfinished closed foot adds a rustic presentation, while the cigar overall feels well constructed in hand.

The first third opens with rich notes of coffee, rye toast, dark chocolate-covered espresso beans, and walnuts. A charred oak barrel quality gives the cigar an aged character early on. As the opening third continues, a balanced combination of sweetness, spice, and savory flavors develops. Black pepper and cinnamon slowly build while cedar, leafy tobacco, sea salt, chili powder, milk chocolate, and raisin sweetness layer throughout the profile. The spice presence gradually intensifies near the transition into the second third.

In the second third, coffee notes remain dominant but become creamier with a touch of smooth cream added to the profile. Cherry cobbler sweetness and yellow cake breadiness bring additional richness and balance. The middle portion also introduces nuttier and saltier characteristics alongside deeper notes of dark chocolate, espresso, roasted nuts, earth, black licorice, and cinnamon. The finish remains sweet yet savory.A subtle hint of blueberry occasionally weaves into the second third, adding another layer of complexity to the cigar’s evolving flavor profile.

Entering the final third, the strength increases noticeably while the cigar maintains its balance and smoothness. Dark chocolate and espresso once again become the dominant flavors.Leather, dark toasted wheat bread, and a bready sea salt quality carry through the remainder of the cigar. Cinnamon, clove, and white pepper steadily build toward the finish.

Overall, the Rojas Street Tacos Cinco De Mayo 2025 delivers a flavorful and approachable maduro with a profile rooted more in classic fermented sweetness than the newer ultra-powerful maduro style.Rich espresso, milk chocolate, oak, spice, and savory depth combine to create a cigar that feels smooth, balanced, and enjoyable throughout the experience.Construction, draw, and burn all perform well, making this an easy cigar to revisit for anyone who enjoys a flavorful, traditional-style maduro with plenty of complexity.
