Law | Wichita County, TX Might Expand Smoking Ban

In June of 2014 the city council of Wichita Falls passed a smoking ban in almost all business with the exception of tobacco shops as long as 75% of the quarterly income was made up of tobacco sales. On Thursday October 23, 2014 the City Council of Lubbock, Texas will hold their first vote on the smoke-free ordinance for the city. The city of Terrell, Texas is moving forward with a proposed smoking ban that would ban smoking in restaurants, city parks and city owned vehicles on January 1, 2015. In Houston, TX the city has begun enforcing a smoking ban on all properties belonging to the Parks and Recreation Department as well as the Houston Public Library.
